KHD Labs Mobile & Web Studio

Software should feel immediate. Most teams just settle for slow.

KHD Labs was established to address a persistent industry issue: traditional agencies frequently pitch experienced partners, only to quietly delegate project implementation to junior developers while charging enterprise rates.

Why We Started

Prior to founding KHD Labs, our team worked as staff systems engineers across fast-growing venture-backed technology companies. We repeatedly encountered client codebases that were on the verge of missing critical launch windows due to unoptimized architectures:

"Our mobile application stutters during scrolling, crashes unpredictably during image uploads, and our previous agency cannot identify the root cause."

Opening these repositories revealed common patterns: unmaintained third-party packages, global state stores repeatedly serializing large JSON payloads, synchronous database queries running on the main UI thread, and an absence of native profiling data.

We created KHD Labs to deliver a different model: high-precision systems engineering where senior practitioners handle design, architecture, and implementation directly.

Testing and Tooling

We verify our software across real hardware environments rather than relying exclusively on high-spec developer laptops and simulators:

Hardware Test Fleet
  • • iPhone SE (2nd Gen) — Baseline for memory constraints and Jetsam limits
  • • iPhone 15 Pro — 120Hz ProMotion frame consistency verification
  • • Samsung Galaxy A13 — Low-tier GPU and thermal stress testing
  • • Google Pixel 7a — Modern clean Android reference hardware
Diagnostics Suite
  • • Xcode Instruments (Allocations, Time Profiler, CoreAnimation)
  • • Android Studio Profiler & Perfetto trace inspection
  • • Network proxy inspection for HTTP/2 & SSE multiplexing
  • • PostgreSQL EXPLAIN (ANALYZE, BUFFERS) query planning

Direct Engineering Communication

When working with KHD Labs, communication occurs directly with the engineers authoring the code. There are no layers of non-technical liaisons translating requirements.

When an architectural trade-off is suboptimal or unnecessary, we identify it early and recommend clear alternatives backed by objective performance metrics.
